“Fake it until you make it”, is a saying we often hear but is it one that young people are taking too literal in hope of becoming famous? There was a video trending on social media of young African-American girl who goes by the name of, Treasure, who was on Dr. Phil’s Show claiming that she hates black people and she is 100% white. During the show she expressed that she hates how black people speak, dress, act and carry themselves. However, social media users later found out that it was all a lie.

Photo Courtesy of Sydne Vigille As football season comes to an end, every year FAMU and Bethune-Cookman face off in a rivalry football game; but, nothing compares to the kick-off event like the Battle of the Bands between The Marching 100 and Marching Wildcats. Each year alumni from both universities fill the Amway Center stadium to get down and boogey to the phenomenal beats of FAMU and Wildcats.

You’re off to college and you may be scared because this is a new city for you. You’re doing something you never thought you would be doing, or you’re excited because this is something you’ve always dreamed of. It is even more exciting and scary if you're a first generation college student. If you’re a college student, you know the pressure of feeling as though everyone is looking up to you to graduate within four years, maintain good grades, and work to support yourself.
