Proton mail restored in India, Karnataka high court stayed single judge's order
LitigationPrivacyProtonmail In April 2026 Karnataka High Court ordered the blocking of Proton Mail in India following complaints of targeted harassment through anonymous encrypted accounts. Proton AG challenged the order. In March 2026, a Division Bench stayed the blocking. 20 April, 2026 5 min read Subscribe to our newsletter, and don't miss out on our latest updates.
Supreme Court of India issued notice but refused any stay in Union of India's challenge to the Bombay High Court judgement holding Fact Check Unit to be ultra vires
Tl;dr: The Supreme Court of India has issued notice in the Union of India’s appeal against the Kunal Kamra v. Union of India & Ors. majority opinion of the Bombay High Court. The Bombay High Court held Rule Rule 3(i)(II)(A) and (C) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Amendment Rules, 2023, to be ultra vires.
The Weak Gravity Conjecture from Entropy
This version is not peer-reviewed. You are already at the latest version We show that the Weak Gravity Conjecture follows from semiclassical entropy consistency once null entropy variations are required to have a regular modular endpoint. The argument uses generalized entropy, the Quantum Null Energy Condition (QNEC), and the modular structure of null deformations.
Infrared running of gravity offers a field-theoretic route to dark matter phenomena
Stars in spiral galaxies orbit at nearly constant speeds far from the galactic center. Credit: Astronomy: Roen Kelly. M33: ESO The mystery of dark matter—unseen, pervasive, and essential in standard cosmology—has loomed over physics for decades. In new research, I explore a different possibility: Rather than postulating new particles, I propose that perhaps gravity itself behaves differently on the largest scales.
Income Tax Act 2025: Digital Search Powers Raise Privacy Risks
On August 12, 2025, Parliament passed the Income-Tax (No.2) Bill, 2025, overhauling the six-decade-old 1961 law to modernise tax enforcement for the digital age. The Act will take effect from April 1, 2026. The most consequential change in the new law is a provision that dramatically expands search and seizure powers into “virtual digital spaces”. These powers ostensibly target tax evasion hidden in emails, cloud accounts, and encrypted devices.
Can a Higher Dimensional Model of the Universe Solve the Problem of Dark Matter?
This version is not peer-reviewed. You are already at the latest version We show that the effects usually attributed to the presence of dark matter in the Universe can arise from the ``external'' effect on our Universe due to extra dimensions. For this, we consider a braneworld scenario where our universe, which is a 3-brane, is immersed in a 6D Minkowski bulk. We derive the $1/r$ force on the 3-brane at large distances via the on-brane propagator.

When Courts Say No Snooping: Madras HC's Wake-Up Call Against Surveillance Abuse
The court bluntly said that phone-tapping “constitutes a violation of the right to privacy” unless justified by law. When the Madras High Court quashed the Union Home Ministry’s phone-tapping order in P Kishore vs Union of India last week, it did more than rescue one businessman’s privacy. It signalled that Indian judges are done indulging executive shortcuts.

Quantum genesis: The emergence of a flat universe and its mirror from nothing
I've long been fascinated by the fundamental mystery of our universe's origin. In my work, I explore an alternative to the traditional singularity-based models of cosmology. Instead of a universe emerging from an infinitely dense point, I propose that a flat universe and its time-reversed partner—an anti-universe—can emerge together from nothing through a smooth, quantum process.
Story 2: A PERFECT MURDER
Naman Kumar · Follow 5 min read · -- This is the first short story in my series of humorous tales. In the quiet, meticulous world of Herbert Jameson, revenge was not a dish best served cold; it was a delicate soufflé, requiring precise timing and the perfect blend of ingredients. For three months, he had been planning the ultimate demise of Marcus Holloway, a man whose ruthless corporate takeover had left Herbert’s family in ruins and his father in an early grave.

Every parent wants their kids to learn coding. Well, as parents you need to understand that coding is much more than just sitting in front of the screen and writing lines of code. Coding is about problem solving, analytical and critical thinking along with fun and creativity for your kids.

A Man has everything yet nothing
I hate this God’s play ! He gave the man everything yet left his hands empty. He gave this man light to explore the beauty of his creation yet this man found himself under the weight of darkness. He gifted millions of words to speak yet this man kept quiet. He created billions of people on this earth yet this man found himself alone. He presented thousands of dishes to eat yet none could fill the hunger of this man’s greed.

A higher-dimensional model can help explain cosmic acceleration without dark energy
Dark energy remains among the greatest puzzles in our understanding of the cosmos. In the standard model of cosmology called the Lambda-CDM, it is accounted for by adding a cosmological constant term in Einstein's field equation first introduced by Einstein himself. This constant is very small and positive and lacks a complete theoretical understanding of why it has such a tiny value.
I Am Not My Body
We all know what "self-control" is, right? Some people have a lot of it, while others struggle to maintain even a little. Sometimes, when trying to control ourselves, it can be very difficult, especially if we don't enjoy the task at hand. Whenever I think about self-control, I ask myself: "If I don't have control over myself, then who does?" If someone else forces me to do something, they have control over me. But most of the time, it's just me making my own decisions and controlling my actions.
I AM The Most Beautiful Creation of God
The universe is vast, with millions of stars and countless galaxies, yet I stand alone as a unique creation of God. The same God who created 8 billion people on this Earth said, "I need you too." The probability of me being born on this planet, out of all the people who could have ever existed, speaks volumes about the beauty I hold within myself. I am undoubtedly unique and special.
New model suggests partner anti-universe could explain accelerated expansion without the need for dark energy Original
The accelerated expansion of the present universe, believed to be driven by a mysterious dark energy, is one of the greatest puzzles in our understanding of the cosmos. The standard model of cosmology called Lambda-CDM, explains this expansion as a cosmological constant in Einstein's field equations. However, the cosmological constant itself lacks a complete theoretical understanding, particularly regarding its very small positive value.
Is Working Hard NOT a Part of Enjoying Life?
I was reading a blog on Medium about whether we should focus on working hard or on enjoying life. The author narrated his story of being a very hardworking man whose efforts paid off. He achieved big things but found those achievements faded quickly. He was so focused on working hard that he didn't find time to enjoy life's blessings. He missed opportunities to hang out with friends, go to parties, and enjoy other experiences of our 20s.
I must Stop Justifying My Mistakes.. And Learn to Accept.
Whenever I see people fighting, debating over the smallest matters, they always try to prove that other is wrong and I'm right. Even if other is wrong, he won't directly accept that mistake he will try to prove that he is not guilty. It's not about who is right and who is wrong, If you are right don't try of prove it but remember, in the end, right triumphs over wrong. By proving, you are just wasting your breath. But if you are wrong, you must learn to accept it.
It's OK to be SAD sometimes. Here's why...
We must understand that Happiness and Sadness are both just emotions. They can be there for long term and for short term. They can also affect your lives in a both positive way or a negative way. Happiness is generally considered as a positive emotion and Sadness as a negative emotion. It's important to distinguish between external sadness and internal sadness. External sadness comes from things outside our control, like losing a loved one or bad weather ruining our plans.
