Genomic analysis of T Cell receptors reveals lynch syndrome specific immune signatures
Abstract Lynch Syndrome (LS) provides the perfect context to understand DNA mismatch repair deficient carcinogenesis, which is characterized by neoplastic lesions with high rates of shared neoantigens eliciting adaptive immunity through T cell receptor (TCR) recognition. However, the TCR landscape in LS carriers remains unexplored. Here, we perform TCR sequencing of 277 blood samples from LS cancer survivors, previvors, and controls, as well as matching colorectal cancers and pre-cancers.

A Database for Prediction of Neoantigens Derived From Microsate" by Nan Deng, Krishna M Sinha et al.
BACKGROUND: Microsatellite instability (MSI) secondary to mismatch repair (MMR) deficiency is characterized by insertions and deletions (indels) in short DNA sequences across the genome. These indels can generate neoantigens, which are ideal targets for precision immune interception. However, current neoantigen databases lack information on neoantigens arising from coding microsatellites. To address this gap, we introduce The MicrOsatellite Neoantigen Discovery Tool (MONET).

The critical role of persistent disruption in advancing science - Nature Computational Science
Abstract Disruptive innovation is an important feature of scientific research. However, increasing evidence in recent years shows that highly disruptive papers are not necessarily milestone works in science and may even receive very few citations. To understand the mechanisms leading to such phenomena, we develop a link disruption metric that quantifies the disruptiveness of each citation link.

"Naproxen Chemoprevention Induces Proliferation of Cytotoxic Lymphocyte" by Charles M Bowen, Nan Deng et al.
BACKGROUND: Recent clinical trial data from Lynch Syndrome (LS) carriers demonstrated that naproxen administered for 6-months is a safe primary chemoprevention that promotes activation of different resident immune cell types without increasing lymphoid cellularity. While intriguing, the precise immune cell types enriched by naproxen remained unanswered. Here, we have utilized cutting-edge technology to elucidate the immune cell types activated by naproxen in mucosal tissue of LS patients.
Exercise Training Reduces the Inflammatory Response and Promotes Intestinal Mucosa-Associated Immunity in Lynch Syndrome
PURPOSE: Lynch syndrome (LS) is a hereditary condition with a high lifetime risk of colorectal and endometrial cancers. Exercise is a non-pharmacologic intervention to reduce cancer risk, though its impact on patients with LS has not been prospectively studied. Here, we evaluated the impact of a 12-month aerobic exercise cycling intervention in the biology of the immune system in LS carriers.
Deep Learning and Face Recognition: Face Recognition Approach Based on the DS-CDCN Algorithm
1. Introduction Face recognition (FR) technology has grown in importance and is now a commonly used biometric identification tool across many industries thanks to the ongoing advancements in science and technology [1]. The goal of FR technology is to analyze and process face images (FIs), extract facial feature information, and compare it with faces in the database to confirm or verify identity [2].

Trajectory-optimized cluster-based network model for the sphere wake
No Access Physics of Fluids 34, 085110 (2022); https://doi.org/10.1063/5.0098655 We propose a novel trajectory-optimized cluster-based network model (tCNM) for nonlinear model order reduction from time-resolved data following Li et al. [“Cluster-based network model,” J. Fluid Mech. 906, A21 (2021)] and improving the accuracy for a given number of centroids. The starting point is k-means++ clustering, which minimizes the representation error of the snapshots by their closest centroids.
Mesenchymal growth hormone receptor deficiency leads to failure of alveolar progenitor cell function and severe pulmonary fibrosis
Abstract Recent studies have identified impaired type 2 alveolar epithelial cell (ATII) renewal in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) human organoids and severe fibrosis when ATII is defective in mice. ATIIs function as progenitor cells and require supportive signals from the surrounding mesenchymal cells. The mechanisms by which mesenchymal cells promote ATII progenitor functions in lung fibrosis are incompletely understood.
CNTF-STAT3-IL-6 Axis Mediates Neuroinflammatory Cascade across Schwann Cell-Neuron-Microglia
Highlights • CNTF induces neuronal production of IL-6 upon peripheral nerve injury • CNTF-STAT3-IL-6 mediates neuroinflammation from peripheral to central nervous systems • Schwann cells-neurons-microglia transmit neuroinflammation to the central nervous system • CNTF acts as a danger signal for nerve injury response and pain enhancement Summary Neuroinflammation is a crucial mechanism in many neurological disorders.
DNA damage and growth hormone hypersecretion in pituitary somatotroph adenomas
We performed prospective WES analysis of 159 consecutively resected pituitary adenoma specimens and of buffy coat samples derived from the same patients for use as controls. Samples included nonsecreting gonadotroph (n = 61), null cell (n = 29), and silent corticotroph (n = 8) adenomas, as well as secreting corticotroph (n = 10), lactotroph (n = 16), and somatotroph (n = 35) adenomas.

Malt1 Protease Is Critical in Maintaining Function of Regulatory T Cells and May Be a Therapeutic Target for Antitumor Immunity
Liqing Cheng, Nan Deng, Naixue Yang, Xueqiang Zhao and Xin Lin J Immunol April 12, 2019, ji1801614; DOI: https://doi.org/10.4049/jimmunol.1801614 Key points: Malt1 is required for the development and function of Treg cells. Malt1 protease activity in Treg cells could be a target for tumor therapy. Abstract The paracaspase Malt1 is a key molecule in mediating Ag receptor–induced NF-κB activation in lymphocytes, but the role of Malt1 in the function of regulatory T (Treg) cells is still unclear.

Interstitial Cystitis-Associated Urinary Metabolites Identified by Mass-Spectrometry Based Metabolomics Analysis
In this study we profiled 490 metabolites in human urine specimens for IC diagnosis using GC-TOF MS. Metabolites including histidine, erythronic acid, and tartaric acid were found to have the highest fold-changes. Power analysis and false discovery rate correction (FDR, Benjamini-Hochberg) suggests that the study sample size has to be increased to validate any findings.
