Congenital mitral valve (MV) insufficiency is a rare cardiac finding, especially in adults. An absent or diminutive posterior leaflet usually results in a poor prognosis in early childhood, necessitating surgical intervention for severe mitral regurgitation (MR) sooner.1 Rare cases of asymptomatic adults with this condition have been reported.2 We present an octogenarian discovered to have a super-elongated anterior mitral leaflet and diminutive posterior leaflet.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to compare diabetic retinopathy (DR) severity levels assessed from 7 standard-field stereoscopic color photographs on a 35-degree fundus camera to both Clarus and Optos ultra-widefield color (UWF-C) images. Cross-sectional, comparative imaging study. Participants with DR imaged at a single-center retina practice. Participants were imaged on 3 cameras at a single visit with the Topcon 35-degree fundus camera, Clarus, and Optos.

Abstract Purpose Curation of images using human resources is time intensive, but an essential step for developing artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. Our goal is to develop and implement an AI algorithm for image curation in a high-volume setting. We will also explore AI tools that will assist in deploying a tiered approach, where the AI model will label images and flag potential mislabels for human review.
