What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means showing the public the truth to things that matter to them and always advocating on their behalf.
What's your favorite social network?
I'm a big fan of Twitter because of how connected I can be with other journalists. I also really enjoy Instagram.
Why did you become a journalist?
In truth because I love talking. What I have found is passion and drive to tell stories.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Do everything even if you don't think you'll like it. Oh and also always be nice to everyone, you never know who's connected!
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Outside. At least once a day I'm out in nature or going on a walk or run.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
The Narwhale, TVO, National Observer and the Tyee. Long form, hard truths!
