PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — A tornado watch has been issued for areas along and west of the Illinois River, in effect until 3 p.m. Thursday. A complex of intense storms will impact portions of the area after 10 a.m. and continue into the afternoon. The greatest concern is across the north and west half of the area for this first wave of severe storms. Destructive winds and tornadoes will be possible.
