Cultivating the spirit of Earth Day, the Hillsdale Environmental Commission gave out free bare root seedlings of five varieties-dogwood, hackberry, hickory, oak and paw paw-of native trees to area residents from Hillsdale and nearby communities. Held at the Hillsdale train station on Saturday, April 23, from 10am-12pm, the event was a partnership of the Environmental Commission with the NJ Tree Recovery Campaign and the Arbor Day Foundation.
