NirFAP680: a highly bright and stable large Stokes shift near-infrared fluorogen-activating protein
Abstract Near-infrared (NIR) genetically encoded fluorescent tags are superior for new imaging capabilities ranging from multiplexed imaging to deep-tissue imaging. Here, we describe the development of NirFAP680; NirFAP680 is an NIR fluorogen-activating protein (FAP) that consists of a newly designed NIR fluorogen termed HBMT and an engineered protein tag termed NirFAP.
Live-cell imaging of RNA dynamics using bright and stable fluorescent RNAs
Abstract RNAs exhibit complex dynamics in cells, including expression, splicing, localization, translation and degradation, and these processes are highly coordinated and tightly regulated both spatially and temporally. To better understand the biological function of diverse RNAs, approaches that allow monitoring of RNA with high spatiotemporal resolution are essential.
Mesenchymal stromal exosome-functionalized scaffolds induce innate and adaptive immunomodulatory responses toward tissue repair
Abstract Designing scaffolds capable of inducing and guiding appropriate immune responses holds promise for tissue repair/regeneration. Biofunctional scaffolds were here prepared by immobilizing mesenchymal stromal exosomes onto fibrous polyester materials and allowed cell-mediated delivery of membrane-bound vesicles.
Revisit of rare earth element fractionation during chemical weathering and river sediment transport
Although rare earth element (REE) has been widely applied for provenance study and paleoenvironmental reconstruction, its mobility and fractionation during earth surface processes from weathering to sediment deposition remain more clarification. We investigated the REE fractionations during chemical weathering and river sediment transport based on the systematic observations from a granodiorite-weathering profile and Mulanxi River sediments in southeast China.
Submarine groundwater discharge and associated nutrient fluxes into the Southern Yellow Sea: A case study for semienclosed and oligotrophic seas-implication for green tide bloom - Liu - 2016 - Journal of Geophysical Research: Oceans - Wiley Online Library
The biogenic elements concentrations in a coastal bay/estuary are strongly influenced not only by riverine input but also by submarine groundwater discharge (SGD) which has been identified as a typical process of land/ocean interactions in coastal zones. To assess the role of SGD in nutrient fluxes in the Southern Yellow Sea (SYS), 228Ra activities were measured in seawater collected in May 2015.
