How is social media changing news?

Social media is changing the landscape of media by it becoming the new normal when it comes to news coverage.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

I prefer to be approached up front. I like it when my publisher keeps it short and sweet.

What's your favorite social network?

Instagram

Why did you become a journalist?

I became a journalist to bring a voice to the community I am serving.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

The story I am most proud of working on is a sports story covering a homecoming game.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Be open to other areas. I always thought I would go into multimedia, but after exploring news writing I have loved it.
