A woman on Wednesday morning died after she was hit by a matatu along Outer Ring-Mumias Road. A witness said Purity Adhiambo, 23, was walking on a pavement when a speeding matatu registered to Marvelous Sacco lost control as the driver tried to avoid colliding with an oncoming lorry. “We were coming from Komarock heading to town when the driver decided to use Mumias Road to avoid traffic on Jogoo Road. We just found ourselves on the other side of the road,” Rose Mbogo told the Star.
