The relationship between Florida State and three-star DB Jay Timmons is long-standing, but his recruitment by the Seminoles is very new. Timmons was offered by Florida State during the elite camp on June 1 and, while he remained committed to Indiana, Timmons admitted that with his family's legacy at Florida State, things may change. Timmons quickly returned for an official visit on June 20, where he ultimately decided that he was going to flip to Florida State.

Florida State has added to its offensive line haul for the 2026 class with the commitment of Havana (Fla.) Gadsden County offensive lineman Jakobe Green early Tuesday morning. A three-star prospect, the local Gadsden county product is considered to be the No. 40 interior offensive line prospect in the country and the No. 77 ranked prospect in Florida. Green originally committed to Mississippi State during an unofficial visit at the beginning of February.

Florida State is red hot on the recruiting trail. Just a few hours after flipping four-star WR Devin Carter away from Auburn around noon on Monday, Florida State earned another commitment from four-star tight end Xavier Tiller. Tiller chose Florida State over Alabama and Auburn. Ranked as a three-star prospect, Tiller is considered to be the No. 40 ranked tight end prospect in the country. Tiller was previously committed to Texas A&M before he decommitted in February.
