BIGELOW, Ark. — Nearly 26 years after a car accident changed his life forever, Billy Fryar is preparing to compete against the best adaptive golfers in the world. In August 2000, Fryar was involved in a motor vehicle accident that left him paralyzed from the chest down. In an instant, the sport he loved seemed out of reach. "It completely changed everything in a moment, in an instant," said his wife, Gena Fryar. "I thought golf was kind of out of the question," Billy said.
