Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes. When I was growing up my parents had one, I think it was intended for decoration but I would use it to leave notes.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Google Sheets pretty much. Occasionally I'll use a writer like Scrivener for longer-form pieces. I take notes on a notepad with a pen.

Why did you become a journalist?
Ever since I was a kid I was in love with the idea of writing and sharing ideas with other, like-minded or otherwise, people.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Just get in there and start writing. Education is great foundational knowledge but it's important to do.
What's your favorite drink?
Water.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
Aftermath.site, I just love the idea of a co-op of journalists. We need more anti-capitalist sentiment in this country.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
Probably that I spend all day playing video games and get paid to write positive reviews about video games.
