WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins allowed a late goal, followed by an empty-netter, to the Toronto Marlies in Game one of the Calder Cup Eastern Conference Finals, losing 4-2 Wednesday night. The loss marks the first time the Penguins have trailed in a series this postseason. Alex Alexeyev opened the scoring for WBS, giving the Penguins a 1-0 lead, before Toronto answered with two straight to grab the lead back.
