I'm the Sports Digital News Editor for The Denver Post. Before arriving in Denver, I spent five years at Sports Illustrated working primarily as its online NBA editor, and I was most recently the overnight home-page editor at The New York Times. I'm known more (if at all) for having an avatar of LeBron James picking his nose than for any of her professional accomplishments. And she couldn't be prouder.

It’s a necessity, and a reason the Commanders’ quarterback was back on the field just two weeks after dislocating his left elbow for the second time.

“Both don’t sound great on paper,” coach Dan Quinn admitted Sunday night. “But they feel a lot different.” Only seven teams in NFL history made the playoffs after starting a season 0-3. The Commanders don’t have to try to be the eighth. Instead, they have a legitimate chance to reach .500 when they “host” the Colts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (Washington is the designated home team).
