In January, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank saw the first leadership transition in its 10-year history, with Zou Jiayi taking over as president. The move was seen as a big step for AIIB, which, over the past decade, has invested nearly $70 billion in more than 360 projects across 40 member countries. It’s also expanding its focus on climate financing, and many see Zou’s role as enabling this shift.

How is social media changing news?

It is empowering all of us to become, in a sense, journalists. Now we just need to become better consumers of news.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

We have a large responsibility to educate and inform. We must approach every moment at work, no matter how busy we are, with that in mind.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I'm a big fan of open source - I run my own cloud, use wordpress, TOR, Libreoffice, and avoid Google.
