I’m finning steadily, orbiting the stern of a ship, camera held level, trying to maintain a consistent distance from the structure while my bubbles trace lazy spirals toward the surface. This is not sightseeing. This is data collection. I am part of a 3D mapping project documenting Miami shipwrecks, a global effort that’s already underway at sites from Curaçao to Vanuatu.
