1. Introduction One of the fundamental academic theories describing and explaining the behavior of financial markets is the Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH), developed by Fama (1965). According to this theory, at any given moment, the price of a financial asset equals its fundamental value, making it impossible to make economic decisions that would yield profits from operations with assets in the financial market (so-called “you cannot beat the market” rule).
