Wolski's Tavern will celebrate the life of its long-time bartender Michael Bondar at the bar, 1836 N. Pulaski St., on Sunday, Oct. 26 from noon until 3 p.m. Bondar operated the longstanding family tavern business with brothers Bernie and Dennis – great-grandsons of Bernie Wolski, who founded the bar well over a century ago. Bondar – the bartender and marketing genius behind the ubiquitous “I Closed Wolski’s” sticker – passed away recent after a six-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

Valentine Coffee has moved its roasting operation to a new building, where it will have considerably more space, and the move also sets the stage for the expansion of the company’s original cafe on Vliet Street. The new roasting space is located in a former Grede Foundry building near Hawthorne Glen in Wauwatosa at 1161 N.
