How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I prefer the pitch to not be overly esoteric. Start out with 1-3 sentences highlighting the story and its relevance than follow with details

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Three steps: 1) Have a wide range of clips readily available 2) Have a good idea in the present 3) Be persistent in getting to an editor
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Activists in Louisa County fighting biological waste on their farms. An activist's daughter caught me on twitter, later expanding with email.
What's your favorite drink?
Many of the summer drinks like Chick Fil A's lemon drop or Wendy's strawberry lemonade.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In terms of journalism, I like to take my notes, print them out, and read them and notate them before I turn it into an article.

In my entertainment beat-That it's not competitive
