In this article, we investigate the behavior of generalized skew derivations on prime rings. Let be a prime ring of characteristic not equal to 2 with right Martindale quotient ring and be a non-central Lie ideal of . Denote by the extended centroid of . We show that if and are generalized skew derivations of satisfying for all and some fixed , then necessarily and , unless satisfies the standard identity .
Mapping the whispering gallery modes of a CaF 2 disk resonator with half-tapered fibers to estimate the fundamental mode volume
Many applications that utilize whispering gallery mode resonators critically rely on the mode volume. In this work, we demonstrate a new, to the best of our knowledge, experiment to map the whispering gallery modes of a mm-sized disk resonator. Our technique relies on using a half-tapered fiber to excite the mode and a second half-tapered fiber to probe it. Our experimental results show a maximum intensity at zero polar angle with a width that agrees with that of the fundamental mode.

We recently reported uncontrolled diabetes and inappropriate steroid therapy as significant risk factors for the outbreak. However, Mucorales contamination of hospital environment was not studied.

1 Introduction Wildfires, or uncontrolled forest fires, in California resulting from long, dry summers are becoming annual events initiated by both natural and human activities. Between 2007 and 2016, there were 2,434 to 3,672 fires annually, burning anywhere from 25,438 to 434,667 acres (Pimlott et al., 2016). Increasingly, more people are now living in high‐risk areas, where fires can claim lives, destroy homes and properties, and impact the climate.

The authors present a rare case of pleural endometriosis in a young female, presenting with recurrent chest pain, which could be diagnosed on pleural fluid cytology. The present report highlights the significance of correlating the clinical history with the cytomorphological features to reach to an accurate diagnosis.

Morphometric analysis of endometrial cells in liquid-based cervical cytology samples
Exfoliated endometrial cells can be seen in cervical smears in association with a wide variety of conditions ranging from normal proliferative endometrium to endometrial malignancies. It is often difficult to differentiate between benign, atypical and malignant endometrial cells using cytomorphology alone. This study was conducted to evaluate if morphometric analysis of endometrial nuclei on liquid-based cervical samples could be of help in differentiating between these endometrial cells.
Pulmonary infections in immunocompromised patients: the role of image-guided fine needle aspiration cytology
To evaluate the role of fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) in the diagnosis of pulmonary infections in immunocompromised patients and to identify the imaging pattern of infections on computed tomography (CT). This was a retrospective study of 42 immunocompromised patients who underwent FNAC under image guidance owing to a clinical pulmonary infection. Each patient was evaluated for an underlying immunocompromised condition, cytological diagnosis, CT findings and complications.
