Deep learning and radiomics models in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer treated with immunotherapy combined with stereotactic radiotherapy
Abstract Quantitative imaging is an emerging field that may allow prediction of oncological outcomes. We investigate whether radiomics and deep learning can predict outcomes in metastatic non-small cell lung cancer utilizing randomized trials of PD-1 inhibitors + /− stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy: PEMBRO-RT(NCT02492568), NIVORAD(ACTRN12616000352404) and MDACC(NCT02444741).
Initial ARC and PLC Recommendations for 2025
By P. D. Mitchell Farmers this year have until April 15, 2025 to make commodity program decisions for their base acres. Typically, the deadline has been March 15th to match the crop insurance deadline, but with the delayed Farm Bill extension, the deadline has been extended to April 15th. This extra month may be useful this year, as it gives extra time for market and policy uncertainty to become clearer. At this time, I recommend that farmers enroll in the commodity support programs for 2025.
Hybrid finite-amplitude periodic modes for two uniformly magnetized spheres
Coupled oscillators such as the double pendulum exhibit fascinating nonlinear dynamics arising from the exchange of energy between two separate masses. In this paper, we study a system of two uniformly magnetized spheres where one is free to slide without friction on the surface of the other, which is fixed.
SF‐CORNER (splenic flexure colorectal cancer): an international survey of operative approaches and outcomes for cancers of the splenic flexure
This paper demonstrates the ongoing severe lack of evidence into the management of splenic flexure cancers. It highlights gross variability, not only in the management of such patients but also in our description of colonic resections. This will need to be addressed before any meaningful comparisons can be made. INTRODUCTION Carcinoma of the splenic flexure is relatively rare, accounting for only 2%–8% of colorectal cancers.
Nanomaterials in the diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic diseases
Introduction Increasingly, people are suffering from ophthalmic diseases due to several factors, including the input of electronic technology products, aging and environmental changes. The incidence of diseases, especially dry eye disease and age-related macular degeneration (AMD), is rising, leading to symptoms such as ocular discomfort, blurred vision, and even blindness in severe cases [1], [2].

Development of the Asia Pacific Consortium on Osteoporosis (APCO) Framework: clinical standards of care for the screening, diagnosis, and management of osteoporosis in the Asia-Pacific region
Abstract Summary Guidelines for doctors managing osteoporosis in the Asia-Pacific region vary widely. We compared 18 guidelines for similarities and differences in five key areas. We then used a structured consensus process to develop clinical standards of care for the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis and for improving the quality of care.
Stacking fault-associated polarized surface-emitted photoluminescence from zincblende InGaN/GaN quantum wells
LEDs based on InGaN/GaN quantum wells (QWs) grown on the c-plane of the wurtzite (wz) crystal structure can have room temperature internal quantum efficiencies (IQEs) up to 90% for emission in the blue.11. A patient-level key performance indicator set to measure the effectiveness of fracture liaison services and guide quality improvement: a position paper of the IOF Capture the Fracture Working Group, National Osteoporosis Foundation and Fragility Fracture
Abstract Summary The International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) Capture the Fracture® Campaign with the Fragility Fracture Network (FFN) and National Osteoporosis Foundation (NOF) has developed eleven patient-level key performance indicators (KPIs) for fracture liaison services (FLSs) to guide quality improvement. Introduction Fracture Liaison Services (FLSs) are recommended worldwide to reduce fracture risk after a sentinel fracture.

Long-term hypovitaminosis D and secondary hyperparathyroidism outcomes of the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass: a systematic review
Pre-operative Vitamin D deficiency is markedly prevalent in prospective bariatric surgery patients. While bariatric surgery leads to significant weight loss, it can exacerbate or prolong Vitamin D deficiency. We systematically reviewed the literature to assess whether secondary hyperparathyroidism is maintained in the medium to long term in patients following the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass.
Creating academic structures to promote nursing's role in global health policy
We highlight key components of emerging academic structures in global health nursing and explain how this investment can expand nursing's broader engagement in global health policy development. Engaging nursing in global health policy development is vital to ensure the scale-up of effective health programmes. Globally, nurses promote development of interprofessional healthcare teams who are responsible for translating sound global health policy and evidence-based programming into practice.
Trends in added sugar intake and food sources in a cohort of older Australians: 15 years of follow-up from the Blue Mountains Eye Study
The trend of added sugar (AS) intake has not been investigated in the Australian population, including in older adults. The present study aimed to assess trends and food sources of AS intake among a cohort of older Australians during 15 years of follow-up. Dietary data from participants of the Blue Mountains Eye Study (1264 men and 1614 women), aged ?49 years at baseline, were collected.
