What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I'm big on using Google Drive/Docs for it's collaborative features.

What's your favorite social network?

Twitter. Between the ease of use, and the ability to connect and engage with readers, Twitter is a phenomenal media tool.

Why did you become a journalist?

I've always expressed myself best in writing, and telling stories that are otherwise ignored makes journalism so rewarding.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

My June 2014 New York Times op-ed on the topic of transgender insurance discrimination is by far the story I'm most proud of putting together
