Parker Marie Molloy is an essayist and transgender media advocate from Chicago, IL, focusing her writing on feminism and gender-related topics. She currently works as a freelance journalist, and has contributed writing to The New York Times, The Advocate, Rolling Stone, The Huffington Post, Salon, VICE, and Talking Points Memo, among other outlets. What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I'm big on using Google Drive/Docs for it's collaborative features.

What's your favorite social network?

Twitter. Between the ease of use, and the ability to connect and engage with readers, Twitter is a phenomenal media tool.

Why did you become a journalist?

I've always expressed myself best in writing, and telling stories that are otherwise ignored makes journalism so rewarding.
