September 2021 COVER STORY – Chapmans Diversify In Georgia – BRUNSWICK, Georgia – Southeast Logging, Inc. was established as a hardwood operation in the salt marshes of southeast Georgia in the late 1980s. Lee Chapman and his wife purchased the outfit to keep the family business going after his father-in-law suffered an in-woods accident. They have continued to run the business ever since.

July 2021 COVER STORY – West Virginia: Circle D’s Daniels Family Sticks Together – BEVERLY, West Virginia – The Daniels brothers were raised in the woods watching their father Robert log patches of timber in the Appalachian Mountains until they were old enough to follow in his footsteps. It’s no small feat that all the brothers – Nick, Scott, Todd and oldest brother Chris Daniels, 60, the owner of Circle D Timber, Inc.

January 2021 COVER STORY – Carden Timber: Urban Logging In Georgia – ORCHARD HILL, Georgia – In late November, Charlie Carden, 51, had his Carden Timber Harvesting, LLC, crew set up in a parking lot just off of I-85 exit 62, on the southwest edge of Atlanta. They were working on clearing a wooded site adjacent to said parking lot. The job was for an excavation contractor. When they’re finished with this site, an Amazon warehouse is to be built here.
