On Wednesday, ASU moved on in the NIT amid questions pertaining to whether the Sun Devils men’s basketball program should move away from its head coach. In their NIT opener, the Sun Devils posted an impressive 86-81 win at Connecticut. And maybe, just maybe, it will deflect attention away from the Devils’ collapse in their Pac-12 Tournament opener, where USC finished an upset win on a 21-4 run to seal ASU’s second trip to the NIT in the past three years.
