Paul Raglow-DeFranco is a multimedia journalist and a graduate of Emerson College and John Carroll University. He has reported on higher education, sports, arts, and student life for outlets including Emerson Today and The Carroll News. His work highlights diverse voices and campus stories, with a focus on cultural impact, institutional change, and behind-the-scenes perspectives in sports and media.

What was your first job as a journalist?

Working in the Sports Information Department at John Carroll University. Writing recaps, calling games, and learning how to cover athletes.

Sadly I have not

It’s made news faster and more interactive. Social media gives journalists tools to share stories, find sources, and engage audiences.
