What does it mean to be a journalist?
Develop and drive the story forwards. Focus on facts, corroborate and be ethical. Everyone has a story, don't ignore anyone. Be intuitive

Why did you become a journalist?
Over the last three years we’ve recorded over 350 shows, and each one serves our 55+ age community in a unique and special way. We are reaching people where they are, with programs they enjoy, and in many ways we have begun a conversation where one didn’t previously exist. I believe we are helping many in our community overcome feelings of isolation…a difficult, yet important, challenge to meet.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Use of virtual reality to help fight depression, lowering suicide rates in white males, over age 60.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't be afraid to call, email, seek out anyone. Use judgement about when to call, don't harass, and don't lie.

Write and podcast about the new Nintendo Switch gaming system, specifically for use by the over age 55 community.

to cover a real estate seminar on senior centers. oy!
