Every year on 8 March, we celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD). It’s a time to reflect on the progress we’ve made towards gender equality, and commit to dismantling the barriers that still persist. Established more than a century ago, IWD has evolved from its roots in labour rights and suffrage movements into a global platform advocating for women’s advancement in every sphere of life. Yet, in recent years, some are questioning whether IWD is a day that is inclusive of all women.
