Trump says US helicopter was shot down in Iran strike

In a post on social media on Tuesday, President Donald Trump said that the United States must respond after Iran allegedly shot down an American helicopter overnight near the Strait of Hormuz. Officials confirm two Army aviators were aboard the Apache attack helicopter when it went down. A U.S. drone boat reportedly rescued the service members, and President Trump confirmed they are safe and uninjured.

President Trump talks ballroom construction

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump gathered press outside of the construction site for the planned ballroom at the White House, sharing new details about the ongoing construction and highlighting its design features and purpose. "This goes down six stories. You see three stories because it's already been built," Trump said. He elaborated on the structure, saying, "All of these columns go directly up to the roof. And the roof is a barrier. It's a shield.
