TONIGHT AND IS OPEN TOMORROW, STARTING AT NOON. WHAT A WEEKEND OF ACTIVITIES AND OF COURSE, THE BIG GAME TONIGHT. A LOT OF PEOPLE IN KC AND I DON'T KNOW IF THEY'RE READY FOR THIS HEAT THAT WE'RE EXPERIENCING RIGHT NOW. WELL, THE HEAT HAS ACTUALLY BEEN HOLDING OFF FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF DAYS. AND THAT'S GOOD. I MEAN, TONIGHT, TOMORROW LOOK PRETTY GOOD. BUT THEN NEXT WEEK THE HEAT'S GOING TO KICK IN AGAIN. LOOK AT THE BIG HEAT DOME WE'RE EXPECTING FOR THE UPCOMING DAYS AS IT MOVES INTO TUESDAY.

Temperatures are trending downward, bringing Kansas City back to where they should be for early July. The average high this time of year is 87 to 88 degrees, and Monday and Tuesday will be right in that range.If you have outdoor plans, these are the days to take advantage of them. Air quality continues to slowly improve as lingering smoke from Independence Day fireworks gradually clears out.
