Making a nearly one thousand mile journey from the Midlands, I've travelled to an unremarkable corner of north-western Poland to meet a remarkable young woman. Gryfice is a historic town just a few miles from the Baltic Sea, and it's home to Katarzyna Zablocka. At 25, Katarzyna has already suffered unimaginable pain in her life, but shown not just a determination to get to the truth, but an enduring love for the mother she lost so tragically.

It's taken seven weeks, but police have finally confirmed the identities of a father and son who died in an apparent homicide-suicide near Newark in Nottinghamshire. 52 year old Charles Wright and 82 year old Brian Wright died in November. Charles's body was found on the family farm at Hall Farm in Langford. A few days later, Brian's body was discovered nearby after an extensive police search.

One of the most commonly-heard criticisms levelled at schools in this country is that they don't prepare young people well enough for the world of work. It's often said that students come out of their school years lacking the "soft" skills needed to succeed in the workplace. The Government says meaningful work experience is key to helping teenagers make the transition from education into work.
