Former Kira Municipality MP Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda has ruled out returning to Uganda in the near future, saying he fears being arrested and becoming a “guest of the military basement”. Mr Ssemujju, who is also secretary general of the opposition People’s Front for Freedom (PFF), said he left the country after what he described as persistent threats against him and amid the arrest and detention of several opposition figures.
