ICO Cautions Healthcare Worker After Princess of Wales Incident

The UK’s data protection watchdog has decided not to purse a criminal investigation against a former healthcare worker who tried to access and sell the medical records of the Princess of Wales. The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) began a criminal investigation into an insider at the London Clinic back in 2024 after reports emerged following the royal spending time there for abdominal surgery. It’s believed that the nurse was struck off following the incident.

Cybercrime is taking hold in Asia and the South Pacific just as it has elsewhere in the world, with organized crime gangs exploiting the adoption of new technologies, according to Interpol. The policing network said that cybercrime now accounts for 30% of crime in over half of the countries covered by its 2025/2026 Asia and South Pacific Cyberthreat Assessment Report.

Fifteen JetBrains Marketplace Plugins Found Stealing API Keys

Security researchers have uncovered a coordinated campaign designed to steal developers’ AI-related API keys via malicious plugins. Aikido Security found at least 15 integrated development environment (IDE) plugins on the JetBrains Marketplace which had slipped past security checks and have now been installed around 70,000 times. They apparently date back to October 2025, with the most recent plugins released in June 2026.
