P. Kenneth Burns is an anchor/host and New Jersey reporter for WHYY-FM, the NPR member station in Philadelphia.

Prior to joining WHYY, he spent four years as a reporter for WYPR-FM in Baltimore, Md. covering urban issues and city politics. Kenneth also worked at WBAL Radio in Baltimore and WNAV in Annapolis.

The two people killed in a mass shooting early Sunday morning in New Jersey’s capital city have been identified by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office as 42-year-old Anthony Howlett and 33-year-old Tyasiah West. Four of eight adults wounded in the incident remain hospitalized at Capital Health Regional Medical Center.

The Lindenwold Borough Council voted Wednesday to rescind its policy of allowing one camera to record their meeting at the same time. The about-face was done to settle a lawsuit. Alfonso Penna, who ran for council in the Democratic primary earlier this year, was removed from the council’s June meeting for not heeding to the council’s policy.
