The achievement will be celebrated with three ceremonies on May 21 and 22 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. Three years after commemorating its 150th anniversary in 2023, Polytechnique now reaches another landmark--its 150th graduating cohort, a testament to more than 150 years of engineering excellence since its founding in 1873. This year, 2,110 graduates will be honoured.

Record forest fires, under-utilized agricultural residues like straw and husks and struggling sawmills have left Canada with an abundance of undervalued biomass. If carefully and strategically managed, this resource could become a powerful ally in the fight against climate change. The agricultural and agri-food sector is also particularly vulnerable, since it exports more than 70 per cent of its main crops.
