Anticipating interactions: a predictive diffusion framework for evolving bimanual manipulation
Abstract Introduction: Bimanual robotic manipulation remains a significant challenge in embodied AI, as it requires synchronized motion planning, inter-arm collision avoidance, and dynamic role allocation over long task horizons. Although existing diffusion-based policies and affordance learning methods have demonstrated considerable capability, they largely treat the environment as static and fail to model how interaction relationships and coordination patterns evolve over time.

Prediction and inverse design of effective optical properties of polymer nanocomposites empowered by machine learning
The complex refractive index of polymer nanocomposites (PNCs) is critical for advanced optical devices, but the agile discovery of PNCs with high refractive index remains challenging. We developed a machine-learning model that instantly predicts wavelength-dependent optical properties across varying volume fractions and particle sizes and inversely designs PNCs with targeted functionalities.
An integrated waste heat recovery system for Rankine cycle power generation from the steel slag hot disintegration process
Abstract Efficient recovery of steel slag waste heat is essential for decarbonizing the energy-intensive iron and steel industry, yet its utilization has long been constrained by the low exergy and high hardness of slag-derived steam. To address these limitations, this study develops an integrated waste heat recovery system for the steel slag hot disintegration process that incorporates radiative heating surfaces, a steam drum, and a Rankine cycle.
Effect of Microchannel Geometry on Nanoparticle Deposition in Nanofluid Flow
CFD computational fluid dynamics DPM discrete phase model 1 Introduction Modern thermal management solutions increasingly incorporate microchannel cooling systems, particularly in applications with high heat flux, such as electronics, lasers, and aircraft components [1]. These systems employ microchannels with submillimetre widths (typically less than 1 mm) to circulate coolant in close proximity to heat sources, thereby enabling efficient heat removal.

Enhanced low-frequency vibration suppression with a active quasi-zero-stiffness absorber
Abstract Dynamic vibration absorbers (DVAs) are widely used to significantly reduce vibrations in primary systems. Among these, active dynamic vibration absorbers (ADVAs) stand out due to their ability to suppress vibrations over a broad frequency spectrum. The development of an optimal attenuation strategy for such absorbers under variable ultra-low frequency excitations is crucial for maximizing the performance of the primary system.

From G tolerance to physiological state monitoring: mechanisms and adaptive protection
Abstract G-induced loss of consciousness (G-LOC) remains a challenge in high-performance aviation because it can rapidly impair pilot functional capacity and compromise aircraft control. Traditional approaches have largely treated G-LOC as a physiological tolerance or threshold problem, emphasizing maximum +Gz tolerance, centrifuge-based assessment, and post hoc identification of loss of consciousness.

Furfuryl Alcohol-Driven Proton Supply Enables Efficient Photocatalytic H 2 O 2 Production Beyond Water-Based Systems
1 Introduction Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a crucial green oxidant extensively employed in fuel processing, wastewater treatment, bleaching, and disinfection [1-5]. Industrial production mainly relies on the anthraquinone process, which involves sequential hydrogenation and oxidation steps under energy-intensive conditions. The complexity and environmental concerns associated with this process have driven the search for sustainable alternatives.

Numerical simulation of gonadal vein hemodynamics in nutcracker syndrome-associated varicocele: effects of Valsalva maneuver and clinical implications
Abstract Objectives: Nutcracker syndrome (NCS) is a vascular disorder characterized by compression of the left renal vein (LRV), frequently complicated by varicocele in male patients. The Valsalva maneuver is routinely used to provoke venous reflux during ultrasound diagnosis, yet the hemodynamic response of the gonadal vein throughout a complete Valsalva cycle remains poorly characterized.
Real-time monitoring of bio-interface assembly enables high-sensitivity glucose sensing via no-core fiber with biocompatible composite coating
We report a mechanism-driven no-core fiber (NCF) glucose sensor, which not only features a polydopamine/polyethylenimine (PDA/PEI) coating that enhances the evanescent field, but also enables real-time monitoring of the bio-interface assembly. For the first time, to the best of our knowledge, the dynamic PDA/PEI deposition and the successive glucose oxidase (GOx) immobilization were tracked by the NCF itself, thus providing unprecedented insight into the formation kinetics of the sensing layer.

Mass-constrained source apportionment of nitrate-containing particles in eastern China using a SPAMS-NMF framework
Winter haze in eastern China is increasingly dominated by particulate nitrate, but its compositions and source contributions remain poorly constrained. Efficient Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution Enabled by Defect- and Interface-Induced Dual Built-in Electric Fields in a ZnIn 2 S 4 /1T-2H WS 2 Heterojunction
1 Introduction The efficient utilization of hydrogen energy is one of the core strategies for addressing the global energy crisis and environmental issues [1, 2]. However, developing low-cost and sustainable hydrogen production technologies remains a major technical bottleneck for large-scale green hydrogen deployment. Among various approaches, solar-driven catalytic water splitting has risen as a highly attractive renewable route for green hydrogen generation [3, 4].

Frontiers | Propagation characteristics of H2–air detonations in double-bend ducts
1 Introduction Hydrogen is widely viewed as a promising clean energy carrier (e.g., to decarbonize heavy industry and transport). However, the extreme reactivity of H2 poses serious safety challenges. Its flammability limits are very wide (roughly 4%–75% by volume in air) and it has very low ignition energy. These properties, along with a very high laminar flame speed, mean that even accidental releases can ignite easily and rapidly accelerate detonation (DDT).
