Treatment advances have improved breast cancer survival, resulting in a growing population at risk for second primary cancers (SPCs). Although prior studies suggest racial heterogeneity in SPC risk, little is known about SPC patterns among diverse Asian American subgroups. Post-SPC survival outcomes by race/ethnicity and Asian subgroups remain underexplored. We identified women with stages I-III breast cancer diagnosed between 2010 and 2020 in Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results.

Abstract Eosinophilic myocarditis is a rare form of myocardial inflammation characterized by eosinophilic infiltration and often accompanied by eosinophilia. It can be fatal in in its initial presentation. Although the condition is rare, it’s quite variable in terms of clinical presentation and prognosis ranging from fulminant myocarditis to uneventful recovery.

Conventional breast-conserving surgery includes postlumpectomy mammography (PLM) before initiating adjuvant radiotherapy in patients presenting with malignant microcalcifications regardless of lumpectomy margin status. Additionally, PLM is associated with patient discomfort and potentially delayed completion of multidisciplinary therapy. We evaluated the implications of PLM for subsequent treatment and outcomes.
