THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) - Artists, friends and families gathered for the 30th annual Wildlife Art Festival at the Thomasville Center for the Arts. Dozens of artists from all over the world were featured. There was food, games and interactive performances. All of the funds from the festival will cover the center’s school programs including field trips, art classes and other resources for upcoming artists.

The shooting that put the Savannah State University campus on lockdown late Thursday night has now turned fatal. The student was shot at the Student Union late Thursday night. He was taken to the hospital where he died early Friday morning. According to the school, the student is Christopher Starks, a junior from the metro Atlanta area. The campus was put on lockdown for several hours as police investigated the shooting.
