Global burden of disease attributable to unsafe sex among adults aged 60 years and older, 1990–2023: a secondary analysis of the global burden of disease study 2023
Abstract Background Unsafe sex is a major risk factor for HIV/AIDS and cervical cancer, yet its burden among older adults remains poorly characterised. Despite rapid global population ageing, older adults remain underrepresented in sexual health research and policy. We aimed to quantify long-term trends and inequalities in the disease burden attributable to unsafe sex among adults aged 60 years and older.
El modelado basado en trayectorias mejora la predicción de resultados a largo plazo más allá de la evaluación de 90 días en la hemorragia intracerebral tratada en la UCI.
Objective: To identify distinct long-term functional recovery trajectories among intensive care unit (ICU)–treated patients with spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) and to evaluate whether trajectory-based classification improves prediction of long-term quality of life (QoL) compared with conventional single time-point functional assessment.

Immune Cell Communication Networks and Machine Learning-based Diagnostic Signatures in Sepsis: Insights from Single-cell RNA Sequencing and Cross-dataset Validation
Sepsis, defined as life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection, is a leading cause of global mortality, with 49 million annual cases and 11 million deaths. Its progression to multiple organ dysfunction syndrome substantially increases mortality and imposes a heavy burden on healthcare systems.
Effects of autologous platelet-rich plasma in recurrent implantation failure: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Objective: The role of intrauterine PRP infusion in managing recurrent implantation failure (RIF) remains controversial despite its emerging clinical use. This systematic review aims to evaluate its therapeutic potential in RIF patients and further to investigate variations in outcomes based on transfer cycle type, embryo developmental stage, RIF diagnostic criteria, and endometrial thickness.

Association of Caregiver Types With General and Health‐Related Indicators of Subjective Well‐Being in a Longitudinal Cohort of Middle‐Aged and Older Adults in China
Objectives With the increased demand for care services, understanding how the association between caregiving and subjective well-being varies at different ages becomes a crucial policy concern. This study examined the longitudinal associations between informal caregiving (and different caregiver types) and selected subjective well-being outcomes. Furthermore, gender and household wealth heterogeneity were explored.

Comprehensive analysis of Brassica napus Glycosyl hydrolase family 1 genes and functional analysis of BnaBGLU27.C08 in clubroot resistance - BMC Genomics
BGLUs belong to the Glycoside Hydrolase Family 1 (GH1) and are capable of hydrolyzing glycosidic bonds in carbohydrate-containing compounds, releasing β-D-glucose and corresponding monosaccharides or oligosaccharides. In plants, BGLUs play crucial roles in various biological processes, including growth and development, lignin biosynthesis, and responses to both biotic and abiotic stresses [2, 10, 12, 13, 15, 26].

Political Regimes, Stock Liquidity, and Information Asymmetry in a Global Context
1. Introduction In the ever-evolving global economy, the political regime of a country stands as a dynamic force, influencing economic performance far beyond its borders. Governance style, whether it leans toward democracy or autocracy, does more than shape internal policy environments; its influence extends to the perception and performance of stocks cross-listed on foreign exchanges (Duong et al. 2022; Delis et al. 2020; Lehkonen and Heimonen 2015; Eleswarapu and Venkataraman 2006; Lesmond 2005).

In-Situ Grown UiO-66-NH2 Nanofibrous Membrane for Highly Effective Capture PM2.5 and VOCs
Industrial air pollutants have serious harmful effects on human health, as industry exhaust is among the main sources of air pollutants, particularly in developing countries. Thus, in this work, a novel material, oxidized poly(arylene sulfide sulfone)/UiO-66-NH2 (OPASS/UiO-66-NH2) nanofibrous membrane, was developed for the removal of both volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and PM2.5 via electrospinning, post-oxidation treatment, and in situ vertical growth.

Perinatal hypothyroidism modulates antioxidant defence status in the developing rat liver and heart
In the present study, we investigated oxidative stress parameters and antioxidant defence status in perinatal hypothyroid rat liver and heart. We found that the proteincarbonyl content did not differ significantly between the three groups both in the pup liver and in the heart. The OH? level was significantly decreased in the hypothyroid heart but not in the liver compared with controls. A slight but not significant decrease in SOD activity was observed in both perinatal hypothyroid liver and heart.
