Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a GOTY-worthy game, to be sure. But the JRPG is stuffed with so many minigames that some fans have frequently opined that there are just far too many of them. Personally, I don't mind; I love a good minigame, so the more, the merrier. (Some, however, are not-so-good.) In any case, the sheer number of them in Rebirth has had more than a few folks bracing for a minigame-overstuffed Final Fantasy 7 Revelation.

When I first heard that Palworld is getting its own trading card game, I wasn’t quite sure what to think. The highly popular monster-collecting video game does seem like a great fit for it, though, and I’ve got plenty of space on my table right alongside my collection of TCGs. By the time I was offered the chance to take a more detailed look, I was excited to see how the gun-featuring, survival-focused, experience could be brought to the competitive card gaming scene.
