Table 1 summarizes the baseline characteristics of the study patients. In the entire cohort of 174 patients, the median patient age was 63 years (range, 31–86 years), the ratio of male (n = 136) to female (n = 38) was 3.58:1, and the median follow-up duration was 20 months (range, 1–34 months). For the entire cohort, the median PFS and median OS durations of the whole cohort were 8 months [95% CI, 6.5–9.5 months] and 14 months (95% CI, 11.2–16.8 months), respectively.

We write regarding the recent article by Speers et al1 which found that both 21-Gene Breast Recurrence Score (RS) and sensitivity to endocrine therapy (SET2,3) index offered independently prognostic information for postmenopausal patients with node-positive estrogen receptor–positive breast cancer, and patients with RS ≤ 25 and high SET2,3 had 5-year disease-free survival of 97% in overall study population and in the subset treated with tamoxifen alone.
