Max Rice returning to Boise State as assistant men’s basketball coach

After multiple seasons playing professional basketball overseas, Max Rice will be back on the Boise State men’s basketball bench this coming season. Rice, who spent five seasons playing for the Broncos from 2019-2024, is returning to Boise State as an assistant coach, the program announced Wednesday morning. The son of head coach Leon Rice, Max spent the last two seasons playing professionally in Germany for Team FOG Naestved in 2024 and for the East Perth Eagles in Australia in 2025-26.
