Abstract Colorectal cancer (CRC) impacts about 1 in 13,000 pregnancies in the United States. Although chemotherapy is generally avoided in pregnant patients due to a concern for adverse effects to the fetus, there are situations where the benefits outweigh the potential risks. In this article, we discuss a unique patient case of a 36-year-old woman diagnosed with CRC while pregnant. She received chemotherapy during her second and third trimesters and delivered a healthy baby at 34 weeks.
