I'm the director of digital news for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, overseeing jsonline.com and its digital strategy. Previously, I was a digital news editor for The Salt Lake Tribune, where I reported on sexual assault and was part of a team of five women who shared the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Local Reporting.

Why did you become a journalist?

I job-shadowed a reporter and wrote for a local paper during high school, but it wasn't till I worked at my college paper I knew I was all in

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

On the couch, knitting, an audiobook in my ears and a cat or two on my lap.

I was a writer and editor in a package of stories exploring sexual assault, which the Pulitzer committee called "a string of vivid reports revealing the perverse, punitive and cruel treatment given to sexual assault victims at Brigham Young University, one of Utah’s most powerful institutions."
