WAYLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Health officials are telling people not to get in the water at Gun Lake County Park Beach after testing found high E. coli levels. Tests conducted Tuesday revealed levels above the state’s safety limit, the Allegan County Health Department said in a Wednesday social media post. The state’s limit for total body contact is 300 E. coli per 100 milliliters; the recent testing found 517.2 per 100 ml.
