Dear Editor The BMJ Editorial on the back of the findings and recommendations of the systematic review and network meta-analysis [1,2] casts significant doubt on the efficacy of spinal procedures such as injections, citing minimal benefits when compared to placebo or sham treatments. While the article rightly calls for a rigorous evidence-based approach to pain management, its broad dismissal of spinal interventions fails to consider the nuanced reality of chronic back pain treatment.
