Immunostimulatory lipogel implant enhances cancer immunotherapy
Abstract Cancer stem-like cells contribute to innate tumour immunoresistance and an immunosuppressive tumour microenvironment, leading to poor responses to immune checkpoint inhibitors. Chemotherapeutic agents can elicit tumour immunogenicity by inducing immunogenic cell death to reinforce the therapeutic efficacies of immune checkpoint inhibitors, but suffer from inefficient immunogenic cell death activation in highly resistant cancer stem-like cells.

Immuno-protective vesicle-crosslinked hydrogel for allogenic transplantation - Nature Communications
Abstract The longevity of grafts remains a major challenge in allogeneic transplantation due to immune rejection. Systemic immunosuppression can impair graft function and can also cause severe adverse effects. Here, we report a local immuno-protective strategy to enhance post-transplant persistence of allografts using a mesenchymal stem cell membrane-derived vesicle (MMV)-crosslinked hydrogel (MMV-Gel).

A Comprehensive Model for Assessing Synergistic Revenue-Cost for the Joint Operation of a Complex Multistakeholder Reservoir System
1. Introduction Reservoirs are crucial infrastructures for comprehensive water resource utilization [1], and they can play an important role in energy production, water supply, and shipping. In a constructed multireservoir system, the multiobjective joint optimal operation is an effective approach for fully exploiting the entire system’s synergistic revenue and improving the utilization efficiency of water resources [2,3,4,5].
Development and validation of two online dynamic nomograms for patients with non‐distant metastatic cutaneous melanoma based on surgical approaches
1 INTRODUCTION Cutaneous melanoma (CM) is a type of cancer originating from neural crest cells; it accounts for 1.7% of all newly diagnosed malignant cancers worldwide and causes approximately 55,500 deaths annually.1 Due to higher age-specific rates in the elderly, as the aging population increases, so will the incidence of melanoma, making it the deadliest type of skin cancer.2 Surgery is an indispensable part of melanoma treatment without distant metastasis.

O-GlcNAc transferase in astrocytes modulates depression-related stress susceptibility through glutamatergic synaptic transmission
Abstract Major depressive disorder is a common and devastating psychiatric disease, and the prevalence and burden are substantially increasing worldwide. Multiple studies of depression patients have implicated glucose metabolic dysfunction in the pathophysiology of depression. However, the molecular mechanisms by which glucose and related metabolic pathways modulate depressive-like behaviors are largely uncharacterized.
Recycling Valuable Metals from Spent Lithium‐Ion Batteries Using Carbothermal Shock Method
Graphical Abstract Carbothermal shock (CTS) method with high heating and cooling rates, high temperatures (up to ≈2200 °C), and ultrafast reaction times of ≈20 s is utilized for recycling spent cathode materials. Li can be selectively leached through water leaching with an efficiency of >90 %. Ni, Co, and Mn are recovered by dilute acid leaching with efficiencies >98 %.

Narrowing the Genomic Region of Autosomal-Dominant Congenital Generalized Hypertrichosis Terminalis
Autosomal-dominant congenital generalized hypertrichosis terminalis (AD-CGHT) is an extremely rare disorder characterized by excessive growth of pigmented medullated terminal hair over the body with or without coarse face and gingival hyperplasia.
A nanotherapeutic strategy to overcome chemotherapeutic resistance of cancer stem-like cells
Abstract Tumour heterogeneity remains a major challenge in cancer therapy owing to the different susceptibility of cells to chemotherapy within a solid tumour. Cancer stem-like cells (CSCs), which reside in hypoxic tumour regions, are characterized by high tumourigenicity and chemoresistance and are often responsible for tumour progression and recurrence.
Advances in living cell-based anticancer therapeutics
Advances in living cell-based anticancer therapeutics Nanomedicine has huge potential in cancer therapy due to its advantages of improving the solubility, increasing the bioavailability and reducing the side effects of anticancer drugs. However, the intratumoral accumulation of anticancer nanomedicine is still extremely low owing to multiple physiological barriers to drug delivery; thus, it is inefficient for cancer treatments.
Tumor-Specific Self-Degradable Nanogels as Potential Carriers for Systemic Delivery of Anticancer Proteins
Development of a safe and effective carrier for systemic protein delivery is highly desirable, which depends on management of the relationship among loading capacity, stability, delivery efficiency, and degradability. Here, a tumor-specific self-degradable nanogel composed of hyaluronidase (HAase)-degradable hyaluronic acid (HA) matrices entrapping acid-activatable HAase (aHAase) for systemic delivery of anticancer proteins is reported.
Recent progress in nanomedicine-based combination cancer therapy using a site-specific co-delivery strategy
Combination cancer therapy possesses considerable appeal due to its many merits such as enhancing efficacy by synergistic effects and overcoming drug resistance as compared to monotherapy. Nanomedicine-mediated co-delivery of multiple anticancer agents is more effective than conventional cocktail-based physical mixture of free drugs. A strategy is required to differentiate their unique targets for maximizing the synergistic effects based on individual sites of action of different drugs.
Targeted delivery and release of Doxorubicin using pH-responsive and self-assembling copolymer
Developing a smart cancer drug delivery carrier with enhanced cancer targeting and effective drug release in tumors is critical for efficient cancer chemotherapy. Herein, we designed pH response copolymer (PEG-ELP[VH4-70]) that entrapped DOX into hydrophobic core and self-assemble into smart DOX-loaded nanoparticles.
