Cyclic high-fat diet administration Mice were randomly assigned to receive either a cyclic high-fat diet (HFD) enriched with fish oil (FO)–derived eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, 20:5n-3) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22:6n-3), or a continuous purified control diet. Upon arrival, all animals were acclimated for 48 h on a standardized purified diet (TD.97184; Envigo, Madison, WI, USA).
