Hounds ink American duo

Soo Greyhounds have gone south of the border to sign a pair of American born skaters ahead of the ’26-27 Ontario Hockey League season. They are 2009 birth year defenseman Christoper Weiss and 2009 birth year forward Cam Anderson. A product of Washington Township, Mich., Weiss graduated through the Detroit Honeybaked AAA program — the same one that produced top 2026 National Hockey League Draft prospect Chase Reid — before most recently starring for the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies in ’25-26.

Espanola to Cleveland, Ohio

Espanola Paper Kings of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have confirmed the commitment of forward Callum Millar to Hiram College of Cleveland effective the ’26-27 season. Hiram is a Division 3, National Collegiate Athletic Association school. A 2005 birth year forward, Millar managed 13 goals, 13 assists, 26 points in 52 NOJHL games for the Paper Kings in ’25-26, playoffs included. “I’m looking forward to the next challenge in my career of playing college hockey.

BR goalie off to D3 school

Graduated Blind River Beavers goalie Justin Sullivan has committed to Southern New Hampshire University for the ’26-27 season. SNHU is a Division 3, National Collegiate Athletic Association school. Hailing from New Richmond, Quebec, Sullivan — who has a 2005 birth date — saw the second most minutes of game action in the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League during the ’25-26 regular season with 1,875.
